Comment on articles related to Bhat nominated for deletion
Hi Nizil, one user had made articles related to small temples, lakes and faliyas of Bhat and I had nominated all of them for deletion. Your comment on their notability is required so that these misleading junk can be cleaned from Wikipedia. Please look at those AfD. Best, —Harshil want to talk?06:44, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
@Harshil169:, yes, I know. Most articles will not need AfD. PROD is enough. If there is an issue you may ping me for an opinion. I have voted my opinion on Moti lake AFD. -Nizil (talk) 06:49, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
I’m wondering that how naive page reviewer would be that s/he had accepted these much junk without cross checking. Yesterday, while demanding page reviewer rights, administrator scolded me for sending Moti Lake for deletion which is obviously notable per him and I don’t have knowledge of policy. 😏—Harshil want to talk?07:00, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
PROD is a serious thing. Misuse is strictly prohibited. Use only when it is very clear that the deletion will be uncontroversial and will not be opposed by anyone.-Nizil (talk) 06:58, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
Yes, DBig, I know policy of canvas and thus, I requested comment of Nizil not his delete vote. If someone is citing book of Tarla Dalal(which is famous for recipes) as food and prasad of place then it’s just junk for Wikipedia. —Harshil want to talk?07:00, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
User:Harshil169 what is the hurry to get those user rights ? No admin will grant you the rights unless he is absolutely sure that you are fit for it. To sharpen your Policy understanding participating and reading AfD discussions is the best way. on the other hand bad comments on AfD with an aim to fill up your AfD logs can be easily identified and it will act negatively. --DBigXrayᗙ07:28, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
I do appreciate you cleaning up the Maha article some. The problem remains that nearly a week's worth of content is missing. Intensity changes are important, but the meat (the atmospheric and hydrological conditions, the storm's structure, the direction of movement/what caused it, etc.) is missing from the article. I don't really have the time to write up a whole article right now. NoahTalk05:08, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
@Hurricane Noah: I just superficially cleaned the article with some basic updates. I have almost no knowledge in meteorology so I refrained to add what I don't understand much. I want you to keep an eye on the article and help in whatever way you can. I reside in the state Gujarat where it is likely to make landfall so I am interested in it. ChocolateTrain Can you help as you did with Cyclone Vayu? I will try to add more in non-meteoro sections like preparations etc. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 05:27, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
Hello, Nizil Shah. You have new messages at Talk:Tejasvi Surya. Message added 06:55, 7 November 2019 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
@DBigXray: Thanks for nominating. I am making improvements but I have found no references for unreferenced text so far. So it needs a lot of work before passing ITN. Alternatively, we can remove unreferenced text for now and make the article passable for ITN. Other can join to help. -Nizil (talk) 06:50, 9 November 2019 (UTC)
controversial unreferenced content must be removed until a reliable source is found as recently dead fall under WP:BLP. Non controversial un-referenced can be moved to talk page with a Cn tags so that talk page watchers can work on finding the refs and add it back later on. --DBigXrayᗙ11:41, 9 November 2019 (UTC)
Hey Nizil, I started an article on Satya Prakash which was weekly published by Karsandas Mulji. It will be best if you help me in expanding this article and CE it. I'm pinging @Gazal world: too as it is one of the favorite topic of him. Happy Diwali!--Harshil want to talk?04:08, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
@Harshil169: Hello, Thanks for working on Satyaprakash. Very little is known about the magazine. Please put request on Resource Exchange page, and I will send you two references: (1) Sayityik Samayiko edited by Hasit Mehta OCLC824686453, and (2) Gujarati Vishwakosh entry about Karsandas Mulji. There is no independent entry on Satyaprakash in Vishwakosh. --Gazal world (talk) 14:18, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
... again, on the page of Morari Bapu, religious people of Swaminarayan cult removed content by citing that it's against wikipedia's policy. Just handle them or try to let them understand. It's my strong internal feeling that they are connected with cult. Look their behaviour on cult related articles.--Harshil want to talk?03:39, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
Nizil, this things are going above my head right now. I’m sure these users are connected with each other off-wiki as these type of aggressive removals are happening. They all are editing Swaminarayan’s articles. Please guide what to do. —Harshil want to talk?15:56, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
@Harshil169:, I am keeping an eye on what is going on. I see that you are taken to ANI and discussion on Talk:Morari Bapu is being dragged on without consensus. I would like to tell you that your language needs a lot of dilution and politeness. When you give polite answers and stick to only discussion, the opposing editors would be unable to go away from the discussion. Don't do too much policy citing. Ask instead of telling. I do not like to be dragged into edit wars too much. I can discuss things but not keep wasting time in not much important discussions. Relook at Talk:Morari_Bapu#Removal_of_Sarcastic_Dig_at_Swaminarayan and think what you could have avoided. You taunted and mocked others which was not good behaviour. Whenever someone ask, explain your point as much as you can so opposing party get convinced. And even if you disagree and could not get others on board your opinion, do not drag the discussion. Let the time pass (cool down) and ask others (uninvolved) to have a look at the whole discussion and judge later. Above all, I advice you to stay away from all controversial topics including religion and politics for now because these topics will make you to give up Wikipedia due to stress some day. Stick to non-controversial easy topics. Do not waste your time and energy. There are others to do those works. I liked when you created Stribodh. After working for few more years, you will be more experienced to handle controversial topics well. I have plenty of topics if you want to work on them. Others can help with referencing, copyediting and expansion. Why am I advising you? Because you have a potential to be a fantastic editor and you are wasting your potential and energy somewhere else. As a friend, I would advise again to move away from controversial topics and get involved with us in uncontroversial and simple topics. Focus on building yourself as an editor for now. Frankly, you are a good learner but your social skills need improvement. You can not change others but you can change yourself. I request you to reply me about what do you think about my advise. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 05:08, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
Wait and take a break from the topic for now. We can look into it after a month or so. We will invite someone experienced and uninvolved to look at all those controversies and do needful then. Do not worry about what will they do. Others are there to handle them. If some specific information is missing (like that dig section on Morari Bapu), nothing is going to happen. I want you move away from all the heat for now. Let the ANI discussion complete. Focus on something productive now.-Nizil (talk) 05:35, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Sun Temple, Modhera
I edited any page on Wikipedia for the first time in life & then you came & kept reverting my edits without any strong reasons. I could have continued doing the same but I don't want that. I am giving my sources here: One is from Archeological Survey of India & second one is from Gujarat Government's official tourism website. I hope you will learn from this instance & stop harassing others & will focus on something else important.
1. https://www.gujarattourism.com/destination/details/6/58
2. http://asi.nic.in/sun-temple-modhera/
@Gohilvishal912:, sorry if I have hurt you. Your edits were reverted because, even if they were true, there is a policy regarding consistency and honorific titles. We don't use King etc titles on Wikipedia. Chaulukya dynasty is a consistent name used everywhere on Wikipedia (Solanki is correct but was later name. Original self designation was Chaulukya). Solanki mentioned there as alternative name. So I have to revert it. I hope I have clarified but if you have a query or need help, feel free to ask me. And please keep contributing. Welcome. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 14:52, 29 November 2019 (UTC)
Hi there, re: these changes, though I understand that you meant well, the Wikipedia community is very strict about the sources it uses in articles. Indian film financials, in particular, are a highly problematic area, for a number of reasons, including: 1) There is no central authority that audits budget and gross figures, which means that all such content is based on proprietary estimates. 2) Actors, directors, producers, distributors all have a stake in how their films are perceived, and box office numbers are used to promote films. 3) There are hundreds of thousands of "content scrapers" on the internet, who harvest their information from unknown sources. We simply cannot trust random figures found on random sites, especially not a website like Book My Show, that does little more than tell people when the next showing of a film is going to be.
Wikipedia cares about reliable published sources that have an established reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. This would be major big-name news outlets, magazines and such. Hindustani Times, Times of India, The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle etc. While even with these sources there are inconsistencies and bad data, the presumption is that there are actual journalists behind the curtain doing fact-checking and analysis governed by journalistic integrity and principles, rather than just some blogger stealing numbers from some other website.
I understand you concern @Cyphoidbomb:. I had discussed it at Talk:Chaal_Jeevi_Laiye!#Add and shared your concern. BookMyShow is major entertainment ticketing website. I think their disclaimer made it clear that it is "not authoritative and for general information purpose only. However,it is extensively indicative of box office performance". Due to lack of good sources for box office figure, it is the best source I could find so I included. I think it should be discussed for its reliability on the Wikiproject and included/excluded in WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 07:28, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
I would also like to suggest you, that please create at-least start-class article with all possible details. There is no meaning of creating article of 2-3 lines. --Gazal world (talk) 05:22, 8 December 2019 (UTC)
@Gazal world:, move and create new article. I will redirect the current article to it because Sandbox article is better constructed and more detailed.-Nizil (talk) 05:38, 8 December 2019 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
On16 December 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Satyaprakash, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that an article published in the Satyaprakash weekly, which criticised Hindu religious leaders, resulted in a libel case? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Satyaprakash. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Satyaprakash), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Can you please take a moment to update the information about "Kankaria Carnival" on Kankaria Lake Wikipedia page? I've updated latest information about Kankaria Carnival on the below post.
https://www.excitrend.com/kankaria-carnival-in-ahmedabad/
Some highlights of the information which are not Wikipedia page.
- Exact dates of Kankaria Carnival
- Latest edition of the Kankaria Carnival
- Entry remains free every year during Carnival days
- Activities like cultural programmes, laser shows, performances by students and singers are organised every year at Kankaria Carnival.
We can create a small separate section about Kankaria Carnival on the "Kankaria Lake" page.
Also, you can update the references and resources with the latest info. I saw a few outdated resources there.
I'm not forcing you or making any personal recommendation. I just want to put my point in front of you. If you like my suggestion, we can do such changes or I'm always happy with your final decision. :)
@Kumarpal19: Thanks for reaching out to me and bringing it to my attention. I have added a section on Kankaria Carnival in the article Kankaria Lake with reliable sources. We should not add unnecessary details of the festival and stick to the overview of the event because programmes change every year. The excitred.com link you posted above is not considered reliable source according to WP:RS guidelines so it should not be included anywhere. The suggested points are included in the section in the article. Can you point to outdated source which should be replaced? Regards,-Nizil (talk) 12:01, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
@Harshil169:, thanks for comment but I had not submitted it for AfC. It is strange that you commented via AFC. You could have left comments on draft talkpage. -Nizil (talk) 05:31, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
@Harshil169: Thanks for the interest. Be careful in handling economic issue topic. It is bit complicated and keep more focus on economics instead of politics in the article. Charts and figures would be more important. -Nizil (talk) 05:39, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
And you may leave comments on draft talkpage. Please ping me when it seem ready. I hold autopatrolled/NPP flag so can review as well. -Nizil (talk) 05:40, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
@Harshil169:, Yes, locust attack topic is on my mind since last few days and qualify as natural disaster. We have few locust infestation articles. You may create a draft. -Nizil (talk) 11:06, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
Create 2019 desert locust infestation in India. India-wide article instead of Gujarat only. Rajasthan is also affected. Use Locust Warning Organisation in Jodhpur biweekly reports for good info. May use news sources as well. -Nizil (talk) 11:09, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
@Yoninah: Thanks for review. I am not native speaker of English so generally request CE whenever I create new article. I have requested CE at WP:GOCE and CE is ongoing. GOCE do not accept drafts so have to move it to mainspace to request CE. DYK must be submitted within time so I have to nominate it before CE is completed. QPQ soon. More comments on nomination page. -Nizil (talk) 05:59, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
Ah, now I understand. I was just surprised by your comment, Article may require some copyediting. I guess next time you'll nominate, submit to WP:GOCE, and note that on the nomination so no one will review it quickly. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 13:52, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
Sorry it took longer than I thought due to holidays, but the copyedit should be finished now, please feel free to ask any questions! Thanks, Puddleglum 2.016:54, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
Happy New Year, Happy New Decade and Happy New WikiCup! The 2020 WikiCup began at the start of January and all article creators, expanders and improvers are welcome to take part. If you are interested in joining, you can add your name here and the judges will set up your submissions page. Creative editors like yourself seem to enjoy taking part, and many return year after year. Signups will close at the end of January, and the first round will end on 26 February; the 64 highest scorers at that time will move on to round 2. The judges for the WikiCup are Sturmvogel 66 (talk·contribs·email), Godot13 (talk·contribs·email), Vanamonde93 (talk·contribs·email) and Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:37, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
@Harshil169:, clearly fails notability. If that person had contacted you in anyway, tell him that he is not notable. I have gone through all past deletions and found that he is not notable. There is no foundation in his claims which he got published in news media. For example, he did PhD at 21 but he is graduation dropout. How? From which university he received PhD? Does that university exist? Check his each and every claim. Opening an NGO is not a big deal, we have thousands of NGOs in India. His most books are self-published and non-notable works. Nizil (talk) 05:56, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
Nizil Shah, there have been reports of Padma Shri but I can't find whether he received it or not. Person got coverage in The Hindu, IE, TOI and other reputed sources. Regarding PhD, this has been covered by ANI. Nagpur Today tells that it is honorary degree from am American versity and IGNOU. Harshil want to talk?06:24, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
@Harshil169: Honorary doctorate is not PhD degree in educational sense. It does not says which American University so claim is dubious. IGNOU PhD is " in pipeline" according to Nagpur Today. What is that "in pipeline"? Another dubious claim. He has not received Padma Shri. His coverage mentioned that he was nominated for Padma. Anybody can nominated anybody for Padma award. Even self nomination is allowed, so nothing notable there. Even if he got his releases published in reputable sources, his claims are fake and doubtful. He has not accomplished any notable thing. Even his Guinness Book (which is not at all notable thing) entry does not exist which I searched on their website. Their https://www.writersrescue.org/ and https://nikhilchandwani.com/ websites are dead. He got himself published in reputable sources without any real achievements worthy of an entry in encyclopedia. Nizil (talk) 06:43, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

How is the draft going on ? [1] here is an article that had a usefule fact " the latest National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data that said 26,085 people committed suicide because of joblessness"--DBigXrayᗙ22:34, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
@DBigXray:, I think the economic slowdown topic article is lot more important and broad IMO but lot of hands are working on CAA topics. I have not worked much on the draft in recent days because topic is lot more complicated and need a lot more research. You may help to improve and expand if you like. Next two weeks are superbusy for me so I may not be active much in those days. That reference is good enough but I would better cite NCRB data directly with figures over the years. @Whispyhistory: Kareda is a correct name/spelling (according to local Gujarati langauge, see gu:w:કરેડા (તા. ઘોઘા)).
