Hi Alex, I saw the Toronto Star article about your hiring and it mentioned that you have prior experience. Per WP:LEGITSOCK, you must indicate what previous accounts you used to edit Wikipedia to avoid running afoul of our sockpuppetry policy. Thanks, ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 06:59, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically Wikipedia:UTL/Header, may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:46, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. -- RoySmith (talk) 22:30, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]Thank you for uploading File:Banting Institute 1930.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Also:
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]Hi Utl Jung. All non-free files are required to have two things: a non-free use rationale and a file copyright license. This file had the former, but not the latter. I went ahead and added a copyright license that I think applies, but please check any other files you uploaded to make sure they also have copyright licenses. Files missing licenses can be speedily deleted per WP:F4. — Marchjuly (talk) 23:12, 10 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited History of diabetes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Charles Best (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thank you for your addition to the article on John G. FitzGerald. When naming a reference, please give them actual names instead of the ":number" default option. Thanks. DS (talk) 12:59, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. I'm updating the outreach:Wikipedian in Residence (if you know of anyone missing, please add them). Is it correct for your WiR position? I've used the current table info to update (Q920986053) so that I can automate the WiR table (in progress). T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 04:03, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
After reviewing your request for the "eventcoordinator" permission, I have enabled the flag on your account. Keep in mind these things:
If you no longer require the right, let me know, or ask any other administrator. Drop a note on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of the event coordinator right. Happy editing! — xaosflux Talk 15:04, 25 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just a reminder that lists of people are alphabetized by surname, not first name. That is, Rodney Bobiwash should appear in List of First Nations people under the letter B, not the letter R. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 15:30, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, Utl jung. Thanks for participating in this. I read about it in this news item. Just thought I would let you know that I moved Congress of Black Women of Canada into mainspace. It fits in nicely with Women in Red's current focus on black women. I couldn't find anything on The Provincial Freeman but I see there's already an article in French. Can you provide a link to the draft? Hope you and your team find time to add more articles about women and their works. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 11:13, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Hi Utl jung,
Finally I've found a good example that shows where I feel your wonderful template can use some modification. The template is great when there is a single archival collection at a single institution. It's pretty messy if there are multiple archival collections at multiple institutions. Take a look at George_Antheil#External_links. None of these instances are using wikidata but are hardcoded (although I just added all the wikidata info). There must be a better way to format this so it looks nicer and is easier to navigate. Thank you! - kosboot (talk) 13:33, 7 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Utl jung! Having an article declined at Articles for Creation can be disappointing. Thanks for uploading File:British quitclaim 1409.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:22, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
