West End (2016 population: 37) is a resort village in the Canadian provinceofSaskatchewan within Census Division No. 5. It is at the west end of Round Lake in the Rural Municipality of Fertile Belt No. 183.[5]
West End incorporated as a resort village on June 15, 1983.[2]
In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, West End had a population of 41 living in 19 of its 51 total private dwellings, a change of 10.8% from its 2016 population of 37. With a land area of 0.37 km2 (0.14 sq mi), it had a population density of 110.8/km2 (287.0/sq mi) in 2021.[8]
In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Resort Village of West End recorded a population of 37 living in 15 of its 74 total private dwellings, a 117.6% change from its 2011 population of 17. With a land area of 0.34 km2 (0.13 sq mi), it had a population density of 108.8/km2 (281.9/sq mi) in 2016.[4]
The Resort Village of West End is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator.[3] The mayor is Darcey Niemi and its administrator is Lorrayne Smith.[3]
