Permanently protected template

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(Redirected from Wikipedia:CSLSA)

This template creates citations using a portion of the Linguistic Society of America (LSA) style for use in articles, especially those related to linguistics. See this style sheet for the LSA's style guidelines for references.

The template does not follow or attempt to enforce all of the guidelines in the style sheet. For example, the template does not attempt to modify titles to change capitalization, nor does it enforce the recommendation to use full author names or ampersands. It does not follow the guidance regarding editor name lists. For a set of templates that provide a broader set of parameters, more consistent formatting, and a wide variety of error-checking, please see {{cite journal}} and the related Citation Style 1 templates.

This template should not be used in articles unrelated to linguistics, and if found in an article unrelated to linguistics, editors are encouraged to replace each occurrence of this template with the appropriate Citation Style 1 template such as {{cite journal}}or{{cite book}}, or with the Citation Style 2 template {{Citation}}, consistent with existing citation templates in the article.
