Sin (Persian: سين)[a] is a city in the Central DistrictofBorkhar County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Sin Rural District.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 4,147 in 1,066 households, when it was a village in Borkhar-e Gharbi Rural District of the Central District District of the former Borkhar and Meymeh County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 5,198 people in 1,621 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Borkhar County.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,495 people in 1,755 households,[2] when it had been elevated from village to city status.[7]
