Bolsheselsky District (Russian: Большесе́льский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the seventeeninYaroslavl Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,353 square kilometers (522 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (aselo) of Bolshoye Selo.[1] Population: 9,906 (2010 Census);[3] 10,703 (2002 Census);[8] 13,053 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Bolshoye Selo accounts for 35.6% of the district's total population.[3]
