Matiranga (Bengali: মাটিরাঙ্গা) is an upazilaofKhagrachari District[1] in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Matiranga is located at 23°02′30″N 91°52′30″E / 23.0417°N 91.8750°E / 23.0417; 91.8750. It has 24,080 households and a total area of 404.75 km2.

As of the 2011 Bangladesh census, the residual Matiranga upazila had 24,080 households and a population of 111,538. 30,149 (27.03%) were under 10 years of age. Matiranga had an average literacy rate of 44.76%, compared to the national average of 51.8%, and a sex ratio of 989 females per 1000 males. 23,913 (21.44%) of the population lived in urban areas.[2] The ethnic population was 29,928 (26.83%), of which Tripura were 22,395, Chakma 4,509 and Marma 2,965.[3]
Matiranga Upazila is divided into Matiranga Municipality and eight union parishads: Amtali, Baranala, Belchhari, Guimara, Gumti, Matiranga, Tubalchhari, and Taindang. The union parishads are subdivided into 27 mauzas and 365 villages.[4]
Matiranga Municipality is subdivided into 9 wards and 53 mahallas.[4]
