p-anisaldehyde[edit]

Would recommend linking p-anisaldehyde to this page or even renaming it to that since that is the chemical shown.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.91.143.166 (talk) 04:28, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

Since the preferred IUPAC name is 4-Methoxybenzaldehyde, shouldn't that be the article name? Then 4-Anisaldehyde would link to 4-Methoxybenzaldehyde instead of the other way around. Kenyoni (talk) 10:32, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Which is the more common name? Wikipedia:Naming conventions (chemistry) (in keeping with Wikipedia:Article titles) does not specify giving preference to IUPAC (or in general formal less-commonly-used). DMacks (talk) 12:17, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
