The ingredients seem to vary somewhat, but I'm wondering how consistently pineapple is included? Also, the first source used, which is also the one lending the "Robert Redford" version of the name, suggests that chocolate, caramel, toffee, and crumbled Heath bar are ingredients??? From what I was able to surmise, the actual cake contents vary greatly and the only thing many of them have in common is that it's called some version of "better than ________" and has some sort of mixture infused into the center. The later the recipes are, the more predominant the pineapple filling becomes as the standard for the basic BTS cake. Prior to that I saw a huge amount of variation with sweetened condensed milk instead of sugar mixtures, or chocolate or candy mixtures. It's actually not that uncommon when you think about it- this is a recipe that will differ greatly depending on the where and when. It's sort of like the Neiman's cookie recipe, as that also differs dramatically depending on which version of the story you're reading. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡)03:10, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
