GA criteria[edit]

With modifications made according to the discussion in the below section, the article now complies with MOS policies on grammar, as well as structure/layout in general. Herein dwells the greatest dictionary ever composed! (talk) 03:13, 2 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(a) the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct

(b) it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation

In comparison to its current overall size, the article has a relatively vast bibliography of sources. As far as verifiability goes, no part of the text seems to be left to chance. Herein dwells the greatest dictionary ever composed! (talk) 10:21, 25 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(a) it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline

(b) reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose)

(c) it contains no original research

There seems to be some repetition going on in the "French Cuisine" section. Take for instance:

• "Potage Crécy is named after Crécy-en-Ponthieu, a French commune in Northern France that has been purported to have carrots with the best flavor within France." Wouldn't it flow better to say『Potage Crécy is named after Crécy-en-Ponthieu, a commune in Northern France that has been purported to produce carrots with the best flavor within the country』instead?
• "In French cuisine, Crécy soup is typically prepared with rice, and may be served with a side dish of rice." Again, maybe to say "In French cuisine, Crécy soup is typically prepared with rice, which may also be served as a side dish"? Herein dwells the greatest dictionary ever composed!
