Sections containing different types of pies should be fully put into alphabetical order

[edit]

In my opinion, both sections which contain different types of pies should be fully put into alphabetical order as not every type of pie listed is listed in alphabetical order which, in my opinion, could potentially make the article look unprofessional. Pie-eating contests

[edit]

If pie throwing gets in here, then pie-eating contests should, too. https://www.leaf.tv/articles/how-to-plan-a-pie-eating-contest/, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KM6XamPIhZM https://www.howcast.com/videos/281444-how-to-win-a-pie-eating-contest, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Competitive_eating, www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2014/06/origin-competitive-eating-contests/, content.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1820052,00.html, https://www.npr.org/sections/theprotojournalist/2014/11/13/360455809/8-epic-eating-contests-in-american-history, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Pie_Eating_Championship213.109.221.139 (talk) 16:46, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Antiquity

[edit]

I have removed this content:

The need for nutritious, easy-to-store, easy-to-carry, and long-lasting foods on long journeys, in particular at sea, was initially solved by taking live food along with a butcherorcook. However, this took up additional space on what were either horse-powered treks or small ships, reducing the time of travel before additional food was required. This resulted in early armies adopting the style of hunter-foraging. The introduction of the baking of processed cereals including the creation of flour, provided a more reliable source of food. Egyptian sailors carried a flat brittle bread loafofmillet bread called dhourra cake, while the Romans had a biscuit called buccellum.[1]

During the Egyptian Neolithic period or New Stone Age period, the use of stone tools shaped by polishing or grinding, the domestication of plants and animals, the establishment of permanent villages, and the practice of crafts such as pottery and weaving became common.

as being off-topic. It might be possible to re-use it in another article. WhatamIdoing (talk) 17:23, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
