Koegel Meat Company, Abbott's Meat & CI restaurant links[edit]

I hope this will not create an edit war, but I have removed the links to the Koegel Meat Company and Abbott's Meat again. My rationale the first time was admittedly unclear, so I hope this will make it clearer. The articles for those companies both state that the authors of "Coney Detroit" consider these companies' products as the only acceptable ones to use in a Coney Island hot dog, citing a newspaper article about the book. While this fact is definitely relevant on their respective articles, and may warrant incorporation into the article Coney Island hot dog, the opinion of one book's authors does not warrant their inclusion in the template. -- Keith Lehwald (talk) 06:08, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, this is a second reason, not a clarification of the first, advertising. You seem not to know much as you went as far as to remove a type of restaurant, Coney Island restaurant, that serves Coney Dog and originated the Coney Dogs, under the same reason. Most of them are single location companies and there isn't a trademark on the name. So neither reason applies. That would be like removing a wikilink for "hot dog stand" from the template, if there was an article on them. The book should have greater standing then your opinion as it is published by Wayne State University Press as this is WP after all. Spshu (talk) 22:47, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
