It was announced on the August 25 television episode of Raw that John Cena had suffered a herniated disc in his neck. Cena received successful surgery the following day, and will be inactive for 2-4 months.

Although I agree closure as keep is the most likely outcome I have reverted your non-admin closure of this AfD: it was not complete (the article itself was not updated) and per WP:NAC it was invalid (there was a delete !vote). Ros0709 (talk) 18:01, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
I am sorry, but I have closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you only have a little over 300 edits on Wikipedia; while your edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards by which they judge RfA candidates, this particular RfA was all but assured of not passing.
I am sorry about this, and I hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I am confident that you would be able to submit a successful RfA in the future. You may wish to consider applying for an evaluation by other Wikipedia editors for feedback on how to obtain the necessary experience. Thank you for your edits yesterday to US Airways Flight 1549, however one thing caught my eye. You edited in the first paragraph "may have experienced one or more [bird strikes] into "resulting in bilateral compressor stalls and partial or complete loss of thrust in both powerplants." This edit was largely unnecessary, as it uses vocabulary and style unfamiliar with most people, and the edit was been simplified since. My point being, no one, unless involved in aviation, would know what a "bilateral compressor stall" is. Please remember to use more "everyday" language in your editing so that everyone may understand Wikipedia, and have a look at WP: Technical terms and definitions. Anyone who fixes an problem with an article should remove it from the listing, so we can accurately keep track of it. All members are encouraged to help out.

It was reported by a Nielsen Media Research ratings report that the February 19 broadcast of TNA's Impact earned a 1.3 television rating, the highest rounded number the promotion has ever drawn.
WWE announced the release of Scotty Goldman from the company.
On an episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced the return of Gail Kim to the promotion via a video promo.
It was reported on February 21 that Sonjay Dutt had been released from his TNA contract, and this was confirmed with the removal of his profile from TNA's official website.
On February 20, it was reported that Freddie Prinze, Jr., a scriptwriter for Friday Night SmackDown, had been released from his contract with WWE.

OnRaw, it was announced that Ricky Steamboat will be the fourth inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2009; he will be inducted by Ric Flair.
