History[edit]

Waratah station opened on 9 March 1858.^[3][4]

Platforms and services[edit]

Waratah has two side platforms. It is serviced by NSW TrainLink Hunter Line services travelling from NewcastletoMaitland, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Scone, Telarah and Dungog.^[5]
