About

Art+Feminism aims to improve the coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia. In 2011, Wikimedia Foundation performed a comprehensive study of Wikipedia editors and users. They found that under 10% of contributors identify as female. Content is skewed as a result, so we aim to correct the dearth in comprehensive and high-quality articles relating to women in the arts. The event is in its second year and people from around the world will be converging at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and at satellite events hosted around the world.
