中間韻は現代のラップ、ヒップホップ音楽でも広範囲に使われている。1980年代のラキムがそのパイオニアと言われている^[1][2]。

ウォレス・スティーヴンス（英語版）の詩『Bantams in Pine Woods』では密接に結び合った中間韻が使われている。
