Izmalkovsky District (Russian: Изма́лковский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the eighteeninLipetsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,130 square kilometers (440 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (aselo) of Izmalkovo.[1] Population: 15,209 (2021 Census);[5] 17,281 (2010 Russian census);[2] 18,813 (2002 Census);[6] 20,404 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Izmalkovo accounts for 24.0% of the district's total population.[2]
