Lev-Tolstovsky District (Russian: Лев-Толсто́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the eighteeninLipetsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 968 square kilometers (374 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Lev Tolstoy.[1] Population: 16,850 (2021 Census);[6] 17,141 (2010 Russian census);[3] 17,862 (2002 Census);[7] 17,748 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Lev Tolstoy accounts for 52.7% of the district's total population.[3]
