What to do about this incomplete dab[edit]

I am not sure any of this content is entirely suitable for inclusion on the disambiguation page Roll. Most of these are partial matches at best. I think converting this to a list would be preferable as there isn't much article potential here. Such a list could then be linked on the dab page. That being said all the potential titles I have come up with sound (at least in my mind) rather absurd. At the moment I'm thinking of either, "List of food containing the word roll" or "List of food shaped into rolls". Any thoughts would be appreciated. France3470 (talk) 15:48, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think this can be solved by splitting it into two lists, and having both linked from the disambiguation page Roll - one listing kinds of bread rolls, and the other listing kinds of foods that are served rolled up, with a subsection explaining non-rolled up foods other than bread that are still called rolls. bd2412 T 16:55, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I take that back in part; the kinds of rolls made of bread are already listed at Bread roll. bd2412 T 16:59, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay that sounds pretty similar to my original thoughts. What do you think about 'list of rolled foods' for a title? It's about the simplest we can get I think. France3470 (talk) 13:39, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regular list or disambiguaton page[edit]

Shouldn't this just be a regular list? Who comes here for disambiguation? People looking for foods with the word "roll". This doesn't make sense. How would they even find this? Hatnotes? Suggest changing cats and banners to reflect this.

Scope

If this is to become a regular article, can we remove such items as kaiser, and others that are neither roll-shaped nor rolled up? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:56, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bread rolls[edit]

Do bread rolls really belong here? They are called 'rolls' but only in some places. And most importantly they are not rolled. Jalopezp (talk) 23:41, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of overlap here with the list of stuffed foods[edit]

That list even has a section for 'wraps' and contains a number of duplicate entries (Cabbage roll, Egg roll, Goi Cuon). Worth perhaps coming up with clearer criteria for what a 'rolled' food is that isn't just 'contains the word roll'. To my mind the clearest reason to have a specific page for rolled foods would be foods which are rolled and then served in sliced form? (e.g. Roulade, Cinnamon roll) -- clearly rolled and not stuffed... Petsquirrel (talk) 16:38, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
