Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
Requests to downgrade full protectiontotemplate protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

C1K98V, I've had a look at your last five articles. They are generally clean, if short. What makes you think, though, that cast lists don't need references? That appears to be a problem with every article that you produce. Schwede66 22:39, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

I have been contributing to Wikipedia for some time now and have made numerous constructive edits, focusing mainly on Global South topics. I believe that having autopatrolled rights would help streamline my contributions by reducing the workload for the reviewing editors and ensuring quicker article updates.
I have read and understand Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, including those on notability and reliable sourcing. I am committed to maintaining high standards of content quality and adhering to community norms.
If you could consider granting me autopatrolled rights, I would greatly appreciate your consideration. Thanks. 12eeWikiUser (talk) 09:35, 22 July 2024 (UTC) 12eeWikiUser (talk) 09:35, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

Applying for the right as my edits were rationale. I have undergone all the criterions and I fit in all. I am well aware about Star Missispi and Joe Roe's earlier declines, but now I am fully washed and proved myself eligible for the right. From AFD/CSD to AfC reviews, and developing a handful of drafts for acceptance, I can now proudly say that I am eligible for the role. Twinkle1990 (talk) 15:32, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

I don't believe I've ever declined a request from autopatrolled from you, Twinkle1990. You had the right revoked by Star Mississippi in June 2023 and subsequent requests for it were denied by Novem Linguae.[2]Hey man im josh,[3] and Rosguill.[4] That last time (two months ago) Rosguill told you it was more of a "never" than a "not now". Not done and please do not ask again, it is becoming disruptive. – Joe (talk) 15:53, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
@Joe Roe you are an involved admin. Can you please left over to non-involved Admins? Why you are everywhere? User Maximilian Janisch treated you fine while you hammered his article and profile here. Kindly don't abuse you admin POWER. Twinkle1990 (talk) 16:12, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
(Non-administrator comment) @Twinkle1990, observing this from the capacity as someone who is not an admin (but none the less a long-time editor), I'd suggest you may consider taking heed of Joe's advice and back away from this for a while (maybe until at least next year). I note in your rationale you consider yourself "suitable for the role", so one may wonder how well you understand what autopatrolled is (though I am sure you know it doesn't impact your editing ability). @FightStranger: Please leave this to admins to respond to these requests. stwalkerster (talk) 15:06, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Amisom has made approximately 150 edits since their unblock in August 2021. Based on @ToBeFree:'s comment stating I have revoked extended-confirmation and rollback for now; you'll need to slowly re-build your reputation from lower than zero, I take this to mean that solely for the purposes of re-granting extended-confirmed, Amisom's edit count and account age requirement would be counted from the date of their unblock. Based on their recent editing history (namely to Talk:ICJ case on Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories), it appears that their underlying reason for wanting to regain extended-confirmed is to wade into WP:ARBPIA topics. That alone makes me nervous based on the unblock discussions that were had at the time, not to mention that edits like this one are edging closer to the WP:NPA line than I like. I'm also quite disappointed that the relevant information wasn't disclosed up-front. I'm not going to actually make the call at the moment in case either of the other admins or the remover of EC (ToBeFree) want to opine, but I'm leaning fairly heavily no on this request. stwalkerster (talk) 15:24, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the ping – wow, this permission request page is interesting at the moment. One of the requesting editors above has been blocked, another's comments including the struck-through one turned out to be a sockpuppet's, and this request here lacks information others have fortunately provided.
I could wait for a fifth administrator's opinion, but Liz, Elli and stwalkerster all just explained their concerns instead of granting the permission, so I don't need to do the same; I can close this without feeling like being the single administrator making Amisom's Wikipedia life harder. Hello Amisom, it's been a while. I don't blame you for not mentioning what happened, both in the discussion at Talk:ICJ case on Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories and here; I'd even be (more) open to the request if it actually came >500 edits after the unblock. I didn't really think about "500 edits from now" when unblocking and was looking for a general rebuilding of trust, but stwalkerster has a point: Newcomers need to make 500 edits before gaining the permission, so 500 edits from your restart are a reasonable minimum to expect before a request. Please don't simply request the permission directly after having made 500 more edits, though. That's not the point. It doesn't work in this direction. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 17:16, 21 July 2024 (UTC)

Question, though I am not an administrator, I see that you have published accepted AFC submissions, even if they lack citations or are in need of some fixing. And some have orange banners on them. Why is this? — 48JCL 01:01, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
@48JCL: As they should. The standard at acceptance at AfC is that the article would probably survive an AfD. Nothing more. Declining a draft for surmountable problems like a lack of citations or pretty much anything covered by a cleanup banner is inappropriate. – Joe (talk) 08:18, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
I spot checked the 4 most recent accepts and they had lots of citations at time of acceptance. Feel free to link to the specific draft accepts you are concerned with. A complete lack of citations is a valid draftification reason and valid AFC decline reason, but I am not seeing that here. A major lack of citations such as entire paragraphs missing a citation (and also not supported by any WP:GENREFs) could be a valid decline reason (WP:V is policy after all). But it may also be reasonable to accept a draft that is mostly cited and just missing a couple citations, such as Draft:Norah Fulcher. –Novem Linguae (talk) 13:33, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
I would like to request new page reviewer rights to help review newly-created articles and lower the backlog. Hey there! I'm ThatOneWolf, and, I know I've been here twice before, but those times I admit I didn't really get the whole idea of experience and stuff. Plus, my last request was months ago. I took a little break recently when I just was checking my talk page and watchlist, but now I've come back to editing.
Anyway, the reason I'm requesting Reviewer rights now is because I feel like I could help in that area, with most of my edits being vandalism reversions. I also feel I suitably warn editors when I think they are intending to vandalize, or just let them know if it seems they could be trying to help. I've read all the policies listed in Wikipedia:Reviewing pending changes, and am very familiar with the copyright laws. This is why I feel I would be more fit now to receive this right. Thanks for reading! -- ThatOneWolf (ChatEdits 12:18, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello! I am applying for the role of rollbacker, having been a Wikipedia user for over 10 years and being increasingly active in the last few years. In this vein, I feel that I have undone my fair share of vandalism and, being mainly focused on football/sports articles, vandalism and unconstructive/unsourced edits are very common in my area of interest and editing. I believe that these rights will be very useful in maximising the efficiency of my work on Wikipedia and will save me time from undoing separate edits individually. Additionally, I have past experience as an administrator on a Wikia project, where I made use of the rollback feature and have good knowledge of its positives and when to utilise it. Thank you for taking your time to review my request. Kind regards, Vasil3fonov (talk) 12:26, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
I see that you are failing to consistently warn editors when you revert their edits. Why? It's important to leave a notification for every revert you make. Are you aware that we have tools such as TwinkleorUltraviolet that make this extremely easy? -Fastily 01:53, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Firstly, I must say I was not aware of the fact that you have to leave a message for every kind of blatant vandalism that is reverted. I usually do it in cases where the user is registered and appears to have used the account for more than a single edit, where they have also done multiple similar unconstructive edits. Secondly, I did not know what the tools were used for and, usually, when I leave messages regarding things such as vandalism, I do it manually. I will take a look at the tools and perhaps make a future request if I am able to work with them properly. If not, then I suppose I will just stick to my current flow of anti-vandalism work. Thanks, Vasil3fonov (talk) 05:39, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
